Raisin Pudding Cake
Silky decadence, studded with raisins.

- 1 c. flour
- c. sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1-1/2 c. California raisins
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. water
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. butter or margarine
- Whipped cream
- PROCEDURE
- Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl. Stir in raisins, then the milk; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Spread batter into a greased 9-inch square glass baking pan. Combine water, brown sugar and butter in saucepan; stir until sugar dissolves and butter melts. Pour over batter. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm topped with whipped cream.
